During a job interview with a design consultancy I was challenged to create a coffee maker that matched the consultancy's innovative culture and demonstrate my value as a multidisciplinary asset. To do this I created a design brief, carried out market research, and then designed this concept. 

Design Direction: Full control of the brewing process blended with intuitive automation. 

Features: 

• Control of grind size, water temperature, pressure, and steeping time. 
• Smart phone app provides automation control. 
• Monitors sleep patterns and provides automatic brewing as the user exits the REM sleep cycle.
